Lugazi FC have completed the signing of Ugandan winger Rashid Kawawa as they continue to strengthen their squad for the ongoing season.
Kawawa joins the club after recently parting ways with NEC FC, bringing experience from several clubs within Uganda’s top-flight football setup.
The former Doves FC forward previously featured for Express FC and the now-defunct Arua Hills FC, giving him valuable experience at different levels of Ugandan football.
Kawawa’s move to Lugazi comes shortly after his departure from NEC FC. The winger will now look to establish himself at his new club and contribute with his attacking ability, pace and experience.
For Lugazi, the acquisition adds another attacking option as the club continues its campaign. Kawawa will be expected to compete for a place in the starting lineup and provide additional creativity and threat in the final third.
The 2021/22 Young Player of the Season joined NEC FC during the mid-season transfer window from Express FC and now begins a new chapter with Lugazi FC.
His arrival is another addition to Lugazi's squad as they look to build a competitive team for the 2026/27 campaign.
